The light is small compared to the darkness that surrounds it. It comes to him in a constricted form -- instead of radiating, its glow is contained and limited. The screen is empty. Your image seems to say that the technology is there for him and by implication, for all of us. It goes on to ask us to think about how we should use this technology. For meaningless exchanges of instant chat? To accommodate somebody else's demands on us? To simply pass the time of day (or night)? His setting makes him seem as if he is caught in a technological trap of his own making. The more we use technology, the more we risk using it for its own sake, instead of for its benefits. Your image asks many questions of us, Kal, and demands just as many answers.

Love the contrast between the open network created by the cellphone and the wire netting that keep us trapped. V Roberto

From your angle and the shielding fence, it appeared that we're trying to peep at "the message". The high noise enhanced the mystery feel and aroused our curiosity. I think I see the light from the messenger...

Stunning capture, Kal! I love the angle you got, taking her almost from behind, and behind a fence. Light of her phone makes for an image full of atmosphere!

The mobile phone, in this picture might be seen as an open door. Metaphorically, maybe, but also graphically.
A small open door at the end of a dark corridor, with a mysterious light.
It’s true that when we can see all what we want in a picture, the image become a tool to provoke thoughts, but we all miss, probably, what it really is.

Interesting picture. The wires give it an air of secrecy.
