A gem Kal....a quick comment on composition..I'd equalise the black border on both sides to balance it..A very fine image...

Man, is this good! Reality vs. the ideal. One of your best. Vote.

very sad, Kal... two bags... two opposite lifes... reality vs fiction...
Guest 27-Jun-2006 11:47
Different bags, .. different realities, different lifes, and all of them nicely captured and exposed, the shadows and the lights inmediately tell us a story about the daily life of so many people walking...... with different bags... VOTE!

Very well seen, Kal. The shadow is the one I love the most.
It's normal maybe: I'm a woman. Others are there for men's eyes. The shadow is simply a woman living her life. This is her, with her head showing some tiredness or some preoccupations, this is her whom I understand ;-)

Beautiful shot.

Jen says it all, and eloquently. This issue revisits one of your favorite themes -- the difference between commercial fantasy and grim reality. No human can live up to the false dreams of advertising, and your slumped, abstracted human, absorbed by an impossible dream, powerfully expresses that fact.

Really wonderful!

Carrying different bags, in different shoes, of different worlds, with different minds... Kal, you've just opened a can of "differences"! Very well seen.

Immediately I thought about foot binding when I saw this picture and I hope the shadowy figure, seemingly forlorn, is not waxing nostalgic about such an outrageous practice. Somebody tell her that women have come a long way.

Well seen: on one side: the illuminated commercial world, on the other side: the shadow of the consumer. Excellent! Roberto

Another brilliant capture from Kal! Unlike the glamorous model in the poster, the girl is walking from a shadow into another dark place. Her bag is filling with frustrations instead of dreams.. I found the figure is perfectly matches the poster girl, but one is living in a fantasy, while the other is living in a reality. You are not only capture the moment here but the emotions.. I am in awe!!
