I think this is yet again an example of what you want to express being affected by the form. I do still prefer the B&W, but that is becasue the food was context for me, as was the environment and the real subject for me was the realtionship between the people. The laughing faces etc. As a travel photograph that records a way of life, colour is probably the better choice, since it represents reality. The B&W was symbolic of a way of life, the colour shows it in reality, all coulourful and full of life.

Actually...i prefere the bw shot....however its true that this one look better as a photo as Phil said..but..still..the bw shot had a specific mood,what this colored version completely changed...So i will stay with that:)

As I thought, I prefer the color to the black and white. The context is just as grim, but the food comes up as food and the color of the clothing and plastic bags summons the eye, whereas in black and white the whole picture simply merged together.
