Very intense shot..surreal and real in the same time..the way u shoot it,its indeed completely surreal..but the feeling-Mine-is a totally comman thing..we all feel like this about million things..Mankind is really selfish sometimes, and we want just eveything, evern if we dont need them all.........its strange...this shot has a special sign for me with tha kid wanting the cake just for himself..:Let's take care together of our Kids to not grow up like this...to be more opened, and to be more kind with everyone..to share the love and to not became animals...to not progress back to the prehistoric times, whan people killed eachother just cuz of a piece of meat......

Actually, yes!! You are making sense Kal ;-))

Yes I am making a habit of being lucky Ana. I am also experimenting more, and that is what I love most about this image, as it is, it is straight out of my head, the way I want it to be, a funhouse mirror effect as Phil says, but the funhouse is my head...am I making sense?

Wow!! make sure you'll keep this one Kal, because it's a fantastic work!!! The distortion here works so well that I looked at it and thought that there was no other way to present this photo. The way the boy's hands are reaching out for the food, makes us believe that he his the one that is bending the image so that he can get to the food, even the colour of the image is beyond the realms of our world... A little wizard kid, playing with it's magic... and look who was there to capture this once in a lifetime moment... You Kal!!! Congratulations.

An image, which though already incongruent because of the raised hands, simply did not express what was in this boys mind, there was too much distraction in the image. By distorting the hands and the food/window I wanted to focus people on that content. The people around this scene have now become context not content. The colour of this scene is all original, and adds to the surealism in my opinion, because the the boy is hypnotised by it.

Surreal, Kal. You keep seeing the extraordinary within the ordinary. The kid with the big hands is wonderfully abstracted and made incongruous by the fun-house mirror effect. You are not using distortion here just to grab the eye. You are using it to exaggerate the art of possession -- indeed, all that is in that window is now his.
