You use light and shadow to organize this image, and move it from description to expression, Kal. The abstract environment provides a context of night and quiet, the single bulb a sense of loneliness, and the face a study in attentiveness, both of which are human values. Not the most incongruous of concepts, but it still works as expression because of what it implies, rather than shows.
