My Newspaper Days

My early days in photography were spent at the Atlanta Journal/Constitution(1971-1986) as a staff photographer. This was a good learning and rewarding experience. Getting great images on deadline makes a man or woman out of you in a hurry. Being a "jack of all trades" is not what it used to be. Everyone now has a specialty and certain photographers cover certain things.
All of these images are copies from old prints and are not as sharp as I would like.

What a fantastic collection. I can see you were shooting a bit of everything. Photojournalism is a true art... to get the shot in a short time frame and then have it ready to go to press. I assume it might be easier today with the technology available. I am sure you must have many stories to tell and I for one would love to hear them! V.
