You know, you were told right I think. I have never seen a pile of dirt around their entrances either! Now you’ve asked a great question and I’m going to try and figure out the answer. I do know that they are so little and they usually put their holes in a grassy area so maybe they fling it around so much that it just disappears into the surrounding grass? I’m quite sure they don’t eat it! Birds eat sand to help digestion but I don’t think a gopher does. They are a bit smaller then a pocket gopher and those crazy things leave piles of dirt as high as any Prairie dog mound. Boy, it’s a puzzle that needs answering. If you find out before you hear from me, let me know!

Hi, do you know what the Stripped Gopher does with the dirt around the
entrance to it's hole in the ground? I've been told that there is none. Thank you.

Hi, I've been told that you cannot find any dirt around the stripped gopher's
entrance hole in the ground. Do you know or have any idea what the
gopher does with the dirt. Thank you

Thanks kids! He is just a little cutie pie. Hey if you come on over I'll show you where I found him. I think (unless someone harms him) he will be around there all summer. Miss you both! Thanks for looking at the galleries.
