This was a not quite a total Lunar eclipse, about 93%. At first I thought it was going to be a total washout, as for the first time in several days, the sky was overcast. As the moon got higher in the sky, it broke out of the main cloud covering, and for most of the rest of the time it was just behind a thin layer of haze/clouds. The sequence of pictures is in time order from near maximun, to maximum, to about 50% as the moon left the Earth's shadow.
