At up to 200kph it's very quiet and smooth but as we accelerated through the 300's and up to the 430 kph top speed there was certainly an impression of extremely high speed.
It's truly an exhilirating experience, but for this traveller at least, the practicalities of lugging baggage onto the crowded domestic subway system and riding for another 20 -30 minutes downtown rule it out for practical use.
