Stationed at Long Binh, moving to Da Nang
Aug 1970 and returning to Long Binh in 1971.

* These units were a Hq and Hq Detachment only,
in charge of varying MP companies. Those in
Vietnam included physical security, guard, corps/army,
army guard, sentry guard dog, confinement facility,
physical facility, and escort guard. 17 separate
companies served in Vietnam at various times, or an
average of four per separate battalion. Several
separate rifle security companies were also assigned
to the MP brigade. The three "(Army)" battalions were
organic units.

In addition, the I and II FFV each had
an assigned MP company.

The fasces, an ancient symbol of the magistrate's
authority, and the sword for the military are combined
to symbolize military law and order.
