Jeanneau 43DS, Alameda, 16.Nov.2002

We were all curious how is the new Jeanneau "Deck Salon" class. The official name of this yacht is "Sun Odyssey 34 DS." On board we were surprised by a service of an extra class: A basket with complimentary treat, Champaign and wine, DVD flat screen TV, clean linen in the cabins. The large salon windows make the cabin appear large and bright. This was really extraordinary.

We have not had too much wind to really test the Jeanneau. With the winds of around 18 knots for a brief time, the sailing properties were excellent. The overall beam of this yacht is very large: 18'8" or 4.19m. She draws over 6'.
