Leaving Spiti

When the time came to leave Spiti Valley, I decided to go by bus via Tabo to Rekong Peo in the Kinnaur Valley. As mush as I'd loved the journey from Manali, I thought I'd sample some different scenery.

By guidebook described the route as one of India's scariest roads, but it didn't seem that bad to me.

If I came back to Spiti though, I would do the loop in reverse - as nice as the scenery was over the mountain pass to the Sutlej Valley, it couldn't hold a candle to the trip from Manali.
