Diving the Red Sea, June 2007

From 13th to 20th June 2007 I spent a week on the Grand Sea Serpent diving the Red Sea.

The diving was great - a five metre manta ray and hammerhead sharks were the highlight, though I didn't get any pictures of the latter, unfortunately.

Those who've read my blogs know that I usually travel on a tight budget; this trip was at the other end of the scale - the most expensive week away I've ever had...but worth every penny. I made some good friends, and had some great diving experiences.

It's going to take me a while to get all the photos sorted, processed and posted, so please consider this a work in progress. I'm trying out some new techniques which I read about in this article by Bob Arlen - processing underwater photographs needs something other than the usual tweaking. If you're an underwater photographer it's well worth a read - thanks Bob.
