The oil companies have destroyed some of our most beautiful wetlands. In this photo the dead cypress in the center is but one of the many cypress trees that were killed off in this area.
Pipelines and canals dug for boat traffic have invaded the ecology that may never return.
Coleen Perilloux Landry retains the international copyright not only for the original image but also for any versions of it.
