Some 4,000 runners participated in the first large public event held in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. The route took runners through some of the most flooded areas of the City in Mid-City and Lakeview.
This runner ran the entire 26 miles carrying the American flag.
Coleen Perilloux Landry retains the international copyright not only for the original image but also for any versions of it.
