Statue of Jeanne d'Arc

Decatur Street in New Orleans

The statue is a long ago gift from France to the City. The flags, absent for many months, are flying high to show that the French Market and many of the shops on Decatur are back in business.
My great-great-great-great grandfather Perilloux came to New Orleans in the 1740's as a French soldier and after the War he settled in Louisiana.
