Every year for the past 15 years we have hosted a Christmas party on Perilloux Place for about 50 people of family and friends. The bonfire always begins the evening, followed by the lighting of the Christmas lights in the trees then lots of good food and libations. All the food, chicken/andouille gumbo, spicy shrimp etc. is cooked by me. The rule is that nothing can be bought already cooked.
This year we invited only our four children and their spouses and our grandson.
My husband takes great care building his bonfire and this year he had all the wood he needed with downed trees from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
I must say I missed the big crowd.
