Heading into the protection of the Cove

I have decided that I will never be a great photographer and that I take most photographs because there is a story connected to them.
This pair of swans at New Orleans City Park had six babies. During the week one has disappeared. The Park is now full of school children by day and more visitors at night because of the lovely weather so the swans are not exposing their babies too much. There is a little cove on this body of water where people don't usually go because the area around it looks snaky etc.
In this photo, which I can't make any better but liked anyhow, they are leading their babies into the cove.

I don't like snaky. I presently have two sets of new goslings waddling around the pond. I probably will post a shot or two of them. And, great photographers do tell a story with their images. Keep it up!

Anyone who can come up with a photo like this each and every day is a great photographer!

I love the photo/story approach :)
Fingers crossed for the babies, but I expect a couple more may disappear :(

I agree with the encouragement below... follow your interests and the story. The technical skills will keep developing.

they seem to have a heirarchy sorted out.... the great photos dont have to be technically excellent, ones that tell a story are sorely needed, and you tell a story soooo well.

What makes a good picture? I think that you have maybe two aspects of such. Some look for exposure of light and technical stuff, others look for a story. I love your stories and how you follow the story of those swans. I hope they find that one baby again. Very nice image.

The babies are so cute! It's very cool that you are following their story.
