Highway in the Louisiana swamp

This is part of the Interstate Highway system in Louisiana. The willow trees are beginning to leaf out and the sun was shining beautifully when I shot.

I thought the US had laws protecting swamp. Anyway here in New York you don't seem to be able to do much in swamps bordering Lake Champlain.
