Crossing guard

Lafreniere Park, Metairie, Louisiana

I end my week of Park stories with this picture of the toughest bird in the entire group. This tiny rooster stood in the center of the road, amidst horns tooting and people's "shoo"ing while some 20 large geese crossed the road. When all the geese had gone by he followed them. You can see him in "full attitude" at http://www.pbase.com/septembermorn/image/38393158.
All you longtime PBasers, what do I do with my pictures with only x's on them--delete them?

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Like Chicken Little guarding the rest of the farmyard. Cool shot.

LOL. That rooster does look a little out of place.

As for the red x's, if it's just the thumbnail, upload the image again and it will reappear. Do NOT regenerate thumb. That just gives you this huge original size thumbnail. If the original image is missing, you'll have to upload it again but there's no assurance at this point it will stay.

I thought at first that it looked like a fowl version of Abby Road :) Love the story. I do visit your works often...sorry to not be able to comment lately.

something is swirling in my head . . something about a chicken crossing a road . . . not a crossing GUARD of a road . . LOL!

I started smiling when I saw the thumbnail. This is too cute .... and I am still chuckling!
Lisa Schlender08-Jan-2005 02:27
That is too funny...obviously he knew what he was doing even if
the motorists were getting annoyed. It's really a great capture, Coleen! :)

I think you have to reload x out pix if the regenerate thumb doesn't work.
This is a fun shot. Did you ever find out why they crossed the road?

Attitude counts for so much! Not with Pbase though. I found my pictures come back later if I just leave things alone.

Love the pic & story! Wonderful! and listen to Gayle there! I found that usually the thumbs or small one's disappeared but the 'large' or original versions were still there. but, yes you can=edit image- and reupload.. saves the comments, titles, etc. I have a few I need to do too.

This is just the cutest thing I can imagine....great, Coleen!

You just HAVE to print this!! what a hoot!! what a find!! what a friend to the geese that rooster is.
Gayle P. Clement08-Jan-2005 00:47
Oh, and if things were working right here, you could just push "Regenerate Thumb" . DON'T do it now, it will be a disaster.
Gayle P. Clement08-Jan-2005 00:46
Don't delete them, you'll lose your comments. Instead, open your photo, go to "Edit Image" and reload your photo. The red X's go away and everything else remains.

I like your crossing guard.
