Bonnet Carre' Spillway in Louisiana

I have never seen a Mississippi River rise in December. Don't know where all the water is coming from. There were only 3 1/2 months this year when the River did not overflow its banks at the Bonnet Carre' Spillway, highly unusual.

Nice shot of these beauties. All the rivers up here have been running high, also, and there is more rain in the forecast over the next few days.
