Once a very popular park and entertainment area, the restaurants sit at the bottom of the sea and the walls surrounding it are in shambles almost ten years after the hurricane. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers has taken over the area where seafood restaurants, filled with summer visitors and locals, once thrived. Another era gone and life in New Orleans is diminished by its loss.
