Went out to get fog photos but the fog had not moved inland yet.
Found this young woman who told me she feeds some 50 feral cats everyday along the lakeshore of Lake Pontchartrain. She and another woman had the cats "fixed", too. The cats live amongst the rocks and in caves on the shoreline.
She told me that after Hurricane Isaac, when the tidal surge had flooded the area, she waded in up to her neck to see if the cats were o.k. and was almost swept away by the current. Fortunately, the next day she came back in a canoe.
