I believe this eagle is at least 15 years old. I admire the hard work he and his mate are doing in building a new nest. They've been returning to their nest each year for the past 9 years but this year found it destroyed by Hurricane Isaac. Hard work cutting branches and carrying them to the new nest in their talons, then arranging them into a nest strong enough to hold them and their babies. Someone said it would be like people in their 60's rebuilding.
