I'm all with Scott on this. I'm sick and tired of it all. I swear the government is using this to gain more power. Sucks and I'm ready to revolt!

Big rally in Lafayette yesterday. I believe most were oilfield folks who are now out of a job because of the moratorium. Houston is laying off people like crazy now that the oilfield isn't drilling. What a mess. The oilspill makes me furious, but the aftermath is being made much worse by inefficient government and greedy businessmen. :(

On our nightly news too Coleen!

It still makes the nightly national news so it's not forgotten. Too bad a storm is brewing and could muck up the plugging the leak schedule again :-(

Somewhere down the long series of corporate buyouts, don't I remember Gulf Oil evolving into BP??? I continue to pray this fix will work. Our idiots in DC have just continued to punch this region while you are down. I do believe BO knows the economic effect of everything he does and is enjoying positioning the federal government for more and more control of private industry. The people are going to have to stand up and hold them accountable for their role in the financial crisis (FM & FM, Robin Hood style finacial regulation/laws, etc.) as well as their role in this latest disaster (laws and regulations that have pushed these operations into deeper more dangerous drilling locations) and the lame efforts to push the recovery forward.

I just heard today that TARP will likely exceed it projected 720 billion dollar cost with a new estimate of 3.7 TRILLION DOLLARS. We are such suckers. My pockets are drained.
