Remembering D Day on the 65th Anniversary

National World War II Museum - New Orleans, Louisiana

By the time we got to this part where everyone is singing "God Bless America", I was so choked up I could not sing. There were hundreds of World War II veterans all around me with their service caps on. They are truly the "Greatest Generation."

Nery nice photo and tribute. It brings back memories to me of my Dad who is now deceased but was a 20-year old Marine in the South Pacific during WWII.

Fantastic tribute....it's a shame that so few are left to tell their stories.
