One Last Private Ride

Those strolling in downtown Myrtle Beach on Saturday night, October 7, 2006 might have noticed something they never thought they'd see again: rides in action at the now-closed Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park. Don't take that as a sign that park owner Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc. changed its mind. Rather, the company was set to host a private party at the Pavilion from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for its shareholders and business associates. The party, dubbed "Save the Last Dance," included free whirls on some of the park's signature rides such as the Hurricane roller coaster and the carousel. The 58-year-old park closed for good Sept. 30, 2006.

Yes, I am a believer in Jesus Christ. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing Hillsong minister twice, once in Asheboro, and once in Greensboro.

loosing such a memory rich landmark is a tragedy for sc. i took some early morning shots w/ the pavilion empty and silent several months ago. www.pbase.com/casual_images...tim p ,florence sc.....never made it back @night.
