I have decided that the summer is over.

This afternoon I pulled up the tomato and runner bean plants and got jolly cold.
Put on the central heating before it came on automatically.
Removed the short-sleeved shirts from my wardrobe and put them away for the winter.

As the saying goes "Winter drawers on".
