I went to see mother-in-law this afternoon and took her some bananas.
Along the corridor there is a multi-sensory room.
Here I took this photo of these fiber-optic strands, that form part of the experience.
I was going to tell you the full story....but I think I will save the rest....for another occasion.

Great stuff! Those sensory rooms are marvellous! When I was doing my training, I did a placement at a school for kids with learning difficulties, and they had a room with a sheepskin covered bed, a stereo playing chilled music, and a huge bunch of fibre-optic cable that the kids could play about with! As a result, I spent much of my time grabbing a kid as an excuse to take them into the room and lying on the bed relaxing for an hour! This photo really reminds me of those days!
