Harpenden countryside

This field is behind the houses on the other side of the road from our house. We have lived here since 1976 and have never seen so many poppies. The following week the farmer sprayed the field and all the poppies were killed off.

I get caught up only looking at PAD photos, I don't get a chance to check out other photos. I love this gallery!! It reminds me of my trip to Beaulieu, UK last year when I was sitting on the train heading there, and was awake for 23 hours.... I love the bright green, and red! Well done Chris!
