A Weekend Stay Inside Dover Castle

A long weekend stay at this wonderful location was the final part of my 60th birthday presents.
I was born not far from Dover and used to come here for family holidays in the 1950s.
In turn I brought my family here to stay with relatives in the 70s.
So I have visited the castle many times but never expected to stay within the walls.

What a joy it was to walk round the fortifications at dawn and have the whole place to myself.
