After the textile industry slowly disappeared twenty years ago
the large industrial brick buildings remained.
And luckily they were saved form demolition.
A whole former industrial area has now become the new city centre
which is unique in the world i think.
There are similar projects around Europe, but never they replaced
the whole city center including the main city square.
Unfortunately all functions are only entertainment.
The area could do with some cultural activities as well.
