a large part of Holland lying below sea level rely on this pumping station
the snow from the last two weeks disappeared rapidly because of warmer air and rain
all through this little drain...
millions of liters of water passed below this floor in the course of a single day
and in the station itself where the pumps are running, there is no sign at all of this tremendous effort
