In May 2008, I went to Alaska - the place I have always wanted to go. We flew to Anchorage, and drove east on highway one, cross border to Canada, then to the south to Haines. From there we took the ferry to the state capitol Juneau. We took a cruise trip to Tracy Arms Fjord from Juneau, then took the ferry back to Skagway. From Skagway we drove back to Fairbanks, then to Denali National Park, and back to Anchorage. From Anchorage we went to Seward and took a wildlife watching trip along the coast of Kenai National Park, then to Homer. Driving over 4000 miles, it was one of the best road trips I've had. I took thousands of pictures along the way, it took me almost three months to sort them out, as other things kept getting in the way - although, another way to look at it is, I could enjoy the fun for three months out of a one week trip :-)

.... Eight years later in the summer of 2016, I took my family for a cruise trip from Vancouver to Seward, then a road trip around inland Alaska. This is a place that I would love to come back again and again!
