This house survived the elements for many years and it was a favorite subject for several photographers in the Southeast Texas area. Sadly, sometime in the early morning of Saturday, September 24, 2005, the flood waters and winds of Hurricane Rita proved too much for the house to withstand. Only a few stray boards lay strewn where the house once stood.
