Death of a poisoned dove

When i arrived in Sta.Cruz, i saw an - as dramatic as funny - statue with pigeons sitting on nose and forehead.
Next day i couldn't see any pigeon at any place.
So i suspected, they might have been poisoned.
When i shot the photos of old houses, i saw a pigeon, but had a bad feeling, though, because of the distance, i could not really see, what was going on.

Now, as i realized the dying dove, it was very hard for me.
I show these pictures, because i want those, who are interested, to know how a poisoned animal dies and how cruel we are.
Of course, pigeons make dirt and can bring diseases, i know that!
