The trick is to exploit the limited capacity of your camera’s preset white balance feature.
To do this, we will light the subject with the halogen lamp and set the camera white balance function to “incandescent”. By positioning the camera in a way that you can see the white roof reflect in the mirror in the viewfinder, the daylight reflected on the roof will be of a bluish tint (see With bluish background). By manually calibrating the white balance on the, the bluish effect disappear (see Without bluish background picture).
Note: -This trick will only work if daylight can enter from a near window.
