Doorway Silhouette

Home, master bedroom

I felt like playing around with low light this evening.
After processing the RAW, this image looks (in my opinion) rather decent on my calibrated monitor.
However, it appears to look horrible on an un-calibrated one.
The image should be dark shadows with a slight bit of light on the left of my features. When I turn off my monitor calibration, it lightens up way too much, with the bed post and stuff in the corner showing up way too clearly.
This is very frustrating.

Looks like something out of a sexy movie.

Looks good one mine. I like the choice of a light coming from the bottom, that highlights your arm.

Well, there you go then - it was worth calibrating your monitor after all ;-)
Looks good from 'ere!

Looks good here- and I have no idea if my monitor is calibrated or not. But- a really nice shot.

You're so picky. The shot looks great! I like the framing best.

Passes the far less than calibrated Blackberry test ;-)

I guess my monitor is calibrated correctly... 'cause this looks great. Nice job!

At first I was thinking "wow, look at the noise in this photo!" Then I looked a little closer and realized that my "semi-calibrated" monitor is dusty as all hell!

With the dust removed, it looks fine ;-)

Perhaps bump up your black point, it might hide the chair & corner of the bed.

It also looks good on my non-calibrated :-) I like it.
