Shots from the Presidio de San Saba, Menard, Texas during the annular solar eclipse. We made a semi-impromptu road trip. On Friday, we drove from Dallas to Brady (the Heart of Texas!) and stayed the night in a hotel. In the morning, we got up and drove about 30 minutes to Menard which was enough in the path of totality that we could get the Ring of Fire. Dana found the Presidio de San Saba was just outside Menard and we decided to set up there to watch the eclipse. It was a great location and we had beautiful weather. Several other people showed up to watch the event as well, but it wasn't even remotely crowded. We had a great time.
