Basement Fire- 36 Harvey Cir (081505)

East Brunswick Independent Fire Company responds to a basement fire in a residential dwelling located at 36 Harvey Circle. Upon arrival smokle was coming from the eaves and chimney. Asst. Chief Jim Varick and F/F Billy Johnson were first on the scene. They made entry and attempted to control the fire with a water can until the first pumper arrived on the scene. The fire was quickly brought under control due to their quick arrival. East Brunswick District #1 had been called in and District #3 stood by in the DCR Station. Everyone in the home evacuated safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
