Gaboon Viper

Smithsonian National Zoological Park

The Garboon viper is a beautiful venomous snake from Central Africa. Their 2" fangs are the longest of any snake.

This photo was taken in very low light through glass (thank goodness) using flash.

This is Gaboon Viper. This snake has the longest fangs of any snake in the world. They have been known to grow up to 2 inches!
