This photo was taken moments before the sun climbed above the horizon.
The blue mounds toward the top of the photo are actually distant mountaintops.
It was a stunning site to behold.

Oh My Goodness, you've captured one of my all time favourite scenes so Perfectly!!! I'm overwhelmed with the beauty of mountains in sunrise/sunset. The only time I was able to capture it was in Mount Tremblant...they remain forever in my mind.:-)
