Preening between swims.
This female hooded merganser had 6 ducklings but only one remained.
It is suspected that Snapping Trutles may have gotten the other 5.

Great! Always amazes me when I hear people say you can't get a clean shot using a teleconverter! I just give them a link to your galleries. :-) Excellent shot, as usual.
