Great Job. I have just bought a VB31 and need the Girder Fork. Stem and head for 4F31 fork also needed.

I also have a 31 VF and thanks to Vic who supplied the missing tank years ago along with info to have all the items put back on.
been years doing this then put away for away it is now near completion.I updated the mag and generator as the originals were missing..So mine won't be totally original but period .
Hoping 2015 will be the year

What a fantastic project. I look forward to seeing the finished results. Will you be taking her on a long distance tour when she's completed?

I´d say that the tank is correct for the year but possibly the wrong colour. All 31 models had black or black and chrome. Check with Ralph Hawkins if it was a `special´ with a red tank from the factory. Why don´t you leave it as it is with the later mods? There are plenty of 31 VF´s about but one like you have there is only ONE! If you know the history and have old photos and the mods are nicely done and the bike works ........ then use it as it is!! That´s my opinion for what it´s worth. Regards Vic P.S you will also save a lot of money.
