This gallery contains 5 shots made with a Rokkor 50mm macro lens. There is a 1:2 shot and then using a Rokkor 25mm extension tube one at 1:1. There are then the same two settings but including a +7 (combination of +1,+2,+4) Hoya close-up set. This test shows that one can indeed use close-up lenses with a macro lens. The combination at the 1:2 setting yields a magnification of about 0.8 and at the 1:1 setting the magnification is 1.24. Finally, just to prove it could be done I used the 1:1 setting with an approximately +10 macro. It is the back-end of a wide angle conversion lens. In this case, the magnification is almost 3.5 with the front of the combination approximately 25mm from the object.
