First Baptist Church, 1833

First Baptist Church, a missionary congregation, was organized in 1800 with Dr. Henry Holcombe serving as the first minister. Its motto is "Established in Faith; Nurtured in Hope; Continuing in Love". Currently it is well known for its music program and its organ built by Ernest M. Skinner.
