The pictures in this album were taken at Portugal. It is a very special place because the history of my home country started here, and this just happened to be my first time in Portugal too. I arrived at Lisboa, capital city, on 07/02/2014 at night and left on 10/02/2014 at dawn to arrive at Bergen just on time to work. :) This first trip (of many, I hope) also included a visit to Fátima, a sacred city for the Catholic Church because of the apparition of Christ's mother to 3 children who are buried in the Sanctuary. You can read the history about it over the internet. Pictures of Lisboa and Fátima will be on separate albums. For this trip I wanted to travel light, so all I took was my Nex 5N with the 18-55 lens, CPL filter, a 32GB card and nothing else. It was special too because on the saturday I met with a french photographer who lives in Lisboa and speaks great Portuguese to trade my trusty Nex 5N + cash for his Nex 7. Well, he wanted a lighter camera and I wanted a viewfinder and bigger prints, so why not?? :) We made the arrangements before I arrived so we just met at a famous house from 1837 which serves Pastel de Belém and did the trade. I decided to leave the DSLR at home betting I wouldn't need weather sealing. Forecast was really bad at Fátima on sunday (as was in Lisboa, lots of flights delayed of canceled because of incredibly heavy wind) but I managed to come back with special shots. So there you go, I hope you enjoy.
