For Lilys birthday I bought her a ticket to The Pixies and of course one for myself being that it was infact also my unbirthday. It was in Lowell, which is really pretty this time of year. All the old mom and pop shops, the antique gas stations that still have those once upon a time blinking light displays advertising there no name brand petrol! The town was covered in Christmas and it was tempting to just get out and walk around but we were running a smidge late. We arrived on time though, as Mission of Burma was not even on stage until Lily was done taking a leak. We bought some merch so that we could just leave when it was all said and done because the parking garage would be a zoo once the show was over. Mission, was pretty good, I was more impressed then I thought I would be, but prefered more of the songs that the slender guy sang because his voice had a small hint of punk to it. Then of course there was The Pixies, which rocked! I am very limited with thier materail but plan on changing that soon! They were impressive to say the least. The only said thing is that Lily and I were expecting them to not performer and encore as thier show had run well past 11:00 PM and these days there is that pesky curfew for shows... However, it was indoors and apparently there was infact no curfew but we were out the doors by the time we heard them take stage again. I imagine they played the one song I wanted them too (Where is My Mind). After that we were stuck in some traffic getting out. People are crazy when they want to just go home...
But we made it out alive. Other then that, the pictures will tell you the rest, just keep in mind I used a crappy kodak dispossable...
