These pictures were taken on a recent trip to the Moselle Valley, a wine growing region in Germany. It will take me some time to get them all uploaded, as I complete each batch of pictures I will create a subgallery for them, so viewers don't have to wade through the older shots to find the latest uploads.

This first batch of pictures were taken in the town of Cochem, a lovely old town with a very interesting town square and a typically German 'fairytale' castle on a hill. As I was on a coach tour with several other people, I only had a limited time to take my shots and so didn't have time to visit the castle as well, although I did get some shots of it from the town.

I did get to visit a couple of other castles in the area however, the pictures from those visits will be added shortly.

A few shots were taken under dull overcast skies, so have a grey area where (ideally) there should be a nice blue sky. Time limits again meaning I couldn't afford to hang around until the skies were better, unfortunately.
