I'm still processing shots from my kite shoot at Gigrin farm in the summer. I have picked a somewhat less spectacular shot today, but one which nicely illustrates the red kites 'hit and run' tactics. Buzzards land and eat the food where they find it, the buzzard here was just about to tuck in to a nice piece of chicken when these two pirates came down and one snatched his lunch from right under his nose. The other kite has a different piece of chicken in sight and is about to grab that piece and climb again to eat on the wing, as kites prefer to do.

My favourite shot amongst the ones I processed today was this one however, with the feathers ruffling up in the airstream, however as the last two days have shown kites diving for food, I decided to settle for something different from todays batch.
